How To Flirt

Quit messing around...
No matter it is done a seductive way or a lame pick up line, flirting is an important initial step of any dating relationship. Flirting is the interaction that can either make or break your chance to enter into a new relationship whether casual or serious, short-term or long-term. Some people posess naturally ability to flirt, while others don't have the skills or the necessary experience dating and flirting.

The most important component of a successful flirting behavious is confidence. If you are not confident, don't let it show. Confidencecould be easily projected, with the right posture to start with. Pu your chin high, stand up straight and pull your shoulders back. Look as natural as you can while walking, sitting down or standing up and keep the same confident poisture. Always be aware of how you carry yourself in public. At first, you might feel a bit shy, but practice at home first and look in the mirrow while doing so.

Another way to convey confidence is through your eye contact, while demonstrating openness. Direct eye contact is a good way to flirt from across the room. If you are shy to come up to the person, try establishing eye contact first. Look into the other person's eyes for one or two seconds, then smile and look away quickly. Then look at the person again while holding your eye contact a little longer. When you look away, turn back and look at the other person periodically, so that he or she does not think you have lost interest.

Make sure you look approachable. A smile is a great way to look approachable. Smile attracts people without having to say anything. At times you may come off as aloof when you, in fact are merely trying to look confident. But if you look like you are at ease and are having a good time, people are more likely to come up to you. When you look like you are having a great time, are relaxed and are in a good mood, people perceive you as someone who is easy to talk to and they will more likely approach you.

When you talk to the person, ask questions that prompt responses that will lead to a discussion. For instance, ask questions that require more of a response. Instead of, "Do you like Italian food?" ask, "What type of cousine do you like?"

Reach out and touch the other person but not in a sexual way. You shouldn not casually grab the person in inappropriate places, yet a slight physical contact will do wonders. If you are at a noisy bar or a restaurant, lean towards the other person so that he or she can hear you better. At the same time you will create more intimacy while conversing with the person. At that time you can slightly touch the person's hand or her arm while talking.

If you're sitting next to the person, move your knees or your shoulders closer to the person so that you can barely touch hers. If the person feels you are invading their space, she will show it with her body language by pullin away. Make sure you pay attention to how the person is responding to those moves and try to pick up on those subtle signals. You don't want to scare her.

As you two are talking, pay close and genuine attention to what the other person is saying. Show that you are interested in what she is saying by slightly nodding your head, tilting your head to the side, whatch her eyes and her mouth as she speaks. Periodically make a comment about what she is saying. Ask relevant questions.

After you have been chatting for a while, you can usually tell what a person is like. Show similarities by responding to what she says in a way that demonstrate that you are familiar with the subject matter. Find similarites in the two of you and you will have a great time talking about the subjects that interest both of you.

People are attracted to those who are similar to them. However, if you don't think you have much in common, do not say that you know something that you, in fact have no knowledge or expertize about.

Most importantly, remember, flirting is not about good looks. It is all about attitude. More tips on how to flirt on a date.
